Mafruza BakiBillah, affectionately known as "Misty," was born into a family deeply rooted in the cultural and rural heritage of Naogaon, Bangladesh. Her life reflects a blend of traditional values, strong family bonds, and meaningful early experiences shaped by her surroundings.
She is the daughter of Md Moksed Ali Mondal and Anjumala. On her father's side, she comes from a respected family lineage — her grandparents, Haji Jamal Uddin Mondal and Amena Begum, hailed from Vagsundor in Atrai, Naogaon, Rajshahi. It was her grandmother, Amena Begum, who lovingly gave her the nickname "Misty" — a name that continues to reflect warmth and affection. Her formal name, "Mafruza," was given by the imam of the local mosque, adding a spiritual and cultural significance to her identity.
On her mother's side, her roots trace back to Khonjor, Atrai, Naogaon, where her maternal grandparents, Meher Ali Sardar and Noorjahan Begum, lived. Mafruza spent most of her childhood in Sahebganj and Khonjor — close-knit communities known for their simple rural lifestyle — where she grew up surrounded by natural beauty, community values, and strong familial bonds that shaped her resilience, humility, and deep respect for her heritage.
Mafruza's academic journey reflects her dedication and curiosity for understanding the natural world. She pursued her higher education at the prestigious University of Dhaka, enrolling in the Department of Geology. She resided in Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall, one of the prominent residential halls for female students, and was known for her deep attentiveness and sincere participation in academic life.
As part of her geology studies, Mafruza participated in a fieldwork trip to the hilly regions of Chittagong — applying classroom knowledge in real-world settings, observing geological formations, and experiencing the adventure of exploration that enriched both her academic understanding and personal character.
On March 19, 2026, at 3:00 pm, Mafruza BakiBillah passed away in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She was laid to rest in Atrai, Naogaon — the place where her remarkable life first began. Though her life was marked by both love and hardship, she leaves behind a powerful legacy of compassion, grace, and devotion that now guides this foundation in her memory.
Through these values, her spirit continues to live on — serving humanity, spreading kindness, and inspiring others to care for the vulnerable.
